Why Are Your Heating Elements On The Floor?

1 min read

It’s really quite simple, heat rises! By having the heating source located in the bottom center of our curing ovens, our ovens heat more uniformly and quicker than similar units that have them on the side wall, back wall, or even the ceiling. With having the heating source spread over the length of the units and centrally located, as the heat rises it fills the chamber evenly both horizontally & vertically. Additionally, by having a more even heat to begin with, the demand required of our circulation systems is much lower.

When other manufacturers place heating sources on side walls or back walls, the heat from those sources climbs the side wall or back wall vertically, leaving the rest of the area inside the oven with stale, slow to heat air. Those systems are then taxed with having to try and circulate uneven heated air and make it uniform.

Although we’re the only manufacturer that places our heating source on the floor, we’re adamant that there is no better way. We’ve been building and using units with this design for well over a decade and there’s no better explanation than that it simply works well! It’s science!

But won’t the heating elements on the floor get damaged? What if I want to walk inside of the oven? Check out the rest of our FAQs for the answer to these questions and more.
